Why Cribbing Wood Is Important for Heavy Loads
Lifting, leveling, or supporting a heavy load is one of the riskiest moments in any industrial job — and it's rarely the crane or the jack that fails first. More often, it's what's underneath the load that gives way. That's where cribbing wood comes in. Wood cribbing blocks are stacked to build a stable, load-bearing base under equipment, machinery, or structures during lifting, jacking, and rigging work, and they're one of the simplest tools with the biggest safety impact on a job site.
